Fleet Equipment Manager
What we are looking for
A full-time Fleet Equipment Manager to oversee an extensive fleet of tree-related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Organize and manage all equipment operations from small hand tools to our largest trucks
- Oversee all equipment repair/maintenance and digitally maintain all documentation and maintenance records
- Manage all in-house repairs and sublet repairs
- Manage and oversee two mechanics and small tool attendant
Oversee/manage or perform fabrication of equipment
- Oversee rebuilding of trucks and equipment
- Maintain a professional appearance on all equipment including paint, body work and decals
Keep company compliant with all local, state and federal regulations related to equipment and equipment operations
- Keep all equipment registrations current. Maintain and store all equipment titles
- Compliant with USDOT
- Compliant with Air Pollution Control Board
- Compliant with tower truck certification
- Compliant with crane truck certification
- Compliant with pull notice and drug program
Work with CFO on annual budgets
- Equipment retirement program and new equipment purchase needs
- Spending budget for small equipment
- Spending budget for shop operations

Qualifications
- Minimum five years’ experience required in vehicle repairs/maintenance and diagnostic evaluations
- Must be willing to work a min. of 40 hours per week (Tuesday through Saturday)
- Must comply with all safe work standards
- Must work well with other team members
- Spanish-speaking helpful but not required
- Experience with tree care-related equipment
- Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Work with crew Operation Manager to ensure proper employee training is being performed and to ensure best care and use of larger equipment
- Manage onsite fuel tanks, handle and schedule fuel delivery and tracking
- Must have a valid CDL class C, B preferred. Must be approved by Atlas Insurance
- Extensive understanding of larger equipment
Crane, dump truck, areal lift truck and brush chippers

Salary
- $65,000 and up per year (Depending upon qualifications and proven experience)
